WHO WE ARE
The Action For Rural Development Organisation (ARDO) is a registered non-profit organization based in Wangjing, Thoubal District, Manipur. Officially recognized under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989 (Act No. 1 of 1990), ARDO was registered on 23rd March 1998 with the vision of empowering rural communities and promoting sustainable development.
Since its inception, ARDO has been committed to addressing grassroots challenges in education, health, livelihood, environmental conservation, and social welfare. Rooted in values of inclusivity and integrity, the organization works collaboratively with local communities, government bodies, and other stakeholders to bring positive change and uplift the underserved sections of society.
We believe in action-oriented development—transforming ideas into tangible outcomes that improve quality of life, foster self-reliance, and build resilient rural ecosystems across Manipur and beyond.

ARDO (Action for Rural Development Organisation) - Mission Statement The mission of ARDO is to empower rural communities through inclusive and sustainable development programs focused on education, healthcare, skill development, and environmental sustainability—ensuring active participation of local stakeholders, promoting self-reliance, and upholding human dignity and social equity across Manipur and beyond.
